To celebrate Weekly Shonen Jump‘s 25th anniversary, Tsukasa Hojo provided this illustration and comment, which have been roughly translated below:

創刊25周年おめでとうございます。僕がデビューしてもう13年、ジャンプの歴史の半分をすごしてきました。その歴史の中でいろいろなキャラクターが登場して、僕自身、楽しませてもらいました。それを考えると、本当に楽しい雑誌だったんだなあと思います。これから僕も読者のみなさんに楽しんでもらえる、そして自分自身も楽しめるようなキャラクタ一を生み出していきたいと思います。25周年、おめでとう。

Congratulations on the 25 years of publication. It’s already been 13 years since I debuted, so I’ve been in Jump for half of its history. During this time, we’ve been entertained by so many different characters that have appeared. When you think about it, it is a really fun magazine. Going forward I want to create characters that both the readers and I can continue to enjoy. Congrats on the 25th anniversary.

He also provided this shikishi for the event which was on display at the Jump Multi World event:

The article ends with an overview of the previous series Cat’s Eye and City Hunter.

The following is some additional context and information not included in the article:

Prior to his first published oneshot, he was a semi-finalist in the 18th Tezuka Award for this oneshot Space Angel (スペース・エンジェル) in 1979. This oneshot has not been published yet in Japan.

The oneshot Ore wa Otoko Da! (おれは男だ!) was published in the Weekly Shonen Jump “Fresh Summer” issue in August 1980. This special magazine issue was published between issues 33 and 34 of Weekly Shonen Jump in 1980.

The Cat’s Eye series was published in Weekly Shonen Jump between issue 40 in 1981 through issue 44 in 1984 for a total of 157 chapters. The series is getting an English Omnibus volume release from Kana starting in Fall 2025. The City Hunter series was published in Weekly Shonen Jump between issue 13 in 1985 and issue 50 in 1991 for a total of 337 chapters. This series is also getting an English Omnibus volume release from Kana starting in Fall 2025.

While not directly mentioned by name in the article, Tsukasa Hojo’s serialized work at the time in 1993 was KOMOREBI: Under the Dappled Sun This series started in issue 31 of 1993 and ran for 25 chapters with a conclusion in the combined issue 5-6 in 1994 for Weekly Shonen Jump for a total of 25 chapters. Prior to this full serialization, there was a oneshot chapter in the combined issue 3-4 in 1993 for When the Cherry Blossoms Bloom Within the author comments for that issue in the table of contents, he left this note (roughly translated into English):

植物のことをしらべているうちに、いろいろな不思議な話を知る!!これは新発見です!!

While researching plants, I learned many strange facts! This is a big revelation!!

While the KOMOREBI: Under the Dappled Sun manga series only lasted for 25 chapters, in the author’s comment for that last issue (5-6 in 1994) he provided this note (roughly translated into English):

ご愛読ありがとう。今次の作品の打合せの真最中!!近々発表できると思う。期待しててね!!

Thanks for reading. I’m in the middle of a meeting for my next work!! I hope to say more soon. Please look forward to it!!

He would later return to the magazine in issue 43 in 1994 with the series RASH!! which would only run for 17 chapters and be his final serialization in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
