To celebrate Weekly Shonen Jump‘s 25th anniversary, Shueisha decided to create a new style event to promote it’s history for the fans. The name of the event was called “Weekly Jump Multi World” and was a exhibition that was held in the Tokyo Dome Prism Hall between July 28th through August 15th, 1993. The event cost 700 yen for admission and guests were able to receive as special booklet which highlighted some of the items on display. The booklet was never available for sale directly. Over 48 authors provided new illustrations and congratulatory messages for this anniversary and are documented in this booklet and this is one of them. To help provide context to this profile that was captured in 1993, we have included some additional information to supplement the transcription and rough English translation.

To celebrate Weekly Shonen Jump‘s 25th anniversary, Tadashi Sato provided this illustration, shikishi, and comment, which have been roughly translated below:

I guess Jump has reached it’s 25th anniversary. This year I turn 30 years old so I thought “Wow, only 25 years old, that’s still 5 years younger than me!” So instead of celebrating, I’m feeling a bit sentimental. Jump is still young, and the history of manga is still just beginning.
I hope that Jump will continue to be the top runner and expand the culture of manga. I’ll be cheering you on from the sidelines.
The end of the article gives a summary of the The Burning Wild Man series. The original series ran in Weekly Shonen Jump between issues 23 in 1987 through issue 10 in 1991. The sequel series, The Burning Wild Man 2, ran in the magazine between issue 11 in 1991 until issue 34 the same year.
The following is some additional context and information not included in the article:
Venus Syndrome (VENUS症候群) won the the Honorable Mention for the 16th Akatsuka Award and was published in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 28 in 1982. For the author comment on the table of comments, Tadashi Sato left the following note (with rough English translation provided here, and the same for the following comments):
ボクの作品がジャンプにのるなんて次回作はもっとすごい作品を!
If my work is good enough to be published in Jump, then I’ll create something even more amazing next time!
In 1983 for the oneshot Psychic Sayo (サイキック・サヨ), he won the Honorable Mention for the 25th Tezuka Award.
In the 1985 Weekly Shonen Jump Spring Special, he published the oneshot Super Young Lady For the author comment on this oneshot he left the following comment:
お嬢さんをかいたら、なんとなく好きな柏原芳恵さんに似てしまった。だけど、ギャグのつもりでかきました。感想きかせて。
When I drew Young Lady, I accidently made her resemble Yoshie Kashiwabara-san, whom I like. Funny how that turned out. Let me know your thoughts.
The initial oneshot which later became the basis for Burning Wild Man (燃える!お兄さん) was published in the Weekly Shonen Jump Winter Special in 1986. For the author comment on this oneshot he left the following comment:
ひさしぶりに15ページギャグをかきました。 どうでしたか? 笑った人はお手ください
It has been a while since I drew a 15-page gag manga. What do you think? Raise your hand if you laughed at it.
Bakuhatsu! Uchu Kuma-san Tata Bear was originally two oneshots that were published in the Weekly Shonen Jump Autumn Special in 1991 and in issue of 5 of Weekly Shonen Jump in 1992. The serialization began in issue 18 of 1992 in Weekly Shonen Jump and ran through issue 39 for a total of 22 chapters. When compiled volumes were published the title changed to add “& Kikuchiyo“.
Later in 1993, after this booklet was printed, his final serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump was with Newral Network Milinda Fight This series would run in the magazine between issue 47 in 1993 and issue 7 in 1994 for a total of 11 chapters.
He would later continue his serializations in Monthly Shonen Jump, and have a 4-panel gag manga series in Manga Allman magazine starting with the first issue.
