Previous Notable Work:
The author, Yasuaki Doi, in addition to being a professional Mahjong player, also contributed stories for various Mahjong manga including Double Face (ダブルフェイス), for Modern Mahjong Comics in 1998 through 1999.

The artist, Shigeru Okamura, starting in 2000 and through 2001, he had 14 different manga serializations currently ongoing, with this series being one of those serializations.

Story:
Instead of following the traditional rules, “Gokuma” is a type of mahjong that uses rules more similar to poker. Now “Ken the Hungry Wolf” has entered the scene and bares his fangs!

Hirohiko Araki had the 2-part oneshot of Dolce & His Master (ドルチ ～ダイ・ハード・ザ・キャット) in 1996 issues #11 and #12 and Deadman’s Questions (デッドマンズQ) in 1999 issue #12. Then later did another biographical story with Ty Cobb (タイ・カッブ) in issue #10 Nikola Tesla (ニコラ・ステラ) in issue #12 in 2001 with Hirohisa Onikubo as the artist.

Story:
The story of the Collyer brothers as told from a series of interviewers, including ones who intend on breaking into their home.

Story:
After the collapse of the bubble economy at the end of the 20th century, Japan has been struggling and unable to escape from an unprecedented depression due to the mismanagement of the politicians. A politician named Tachibana Seiji steps up to save Japan from this dire situation. The start of this plan is the assassination of a government official and then teams up with the economist Sakai Osamu, to try to seize power and revive the Japanese economy, but at what cost…!?

The story follows Kiomaru who trains under a famous swordsmith and enacts punishment on an outlaw in town by wielding a dull sword.

This was later adapted into a full series and the original oneshot was readapted for the Weekly Young Jump Extra issue published on December 25, 2004 and then republished in the 2nd volume.

This is the story of a group of engineers who took over the whiskey-making dream of one man over 80 years ago and took on the challenge of making it into a global phenomenon.

This is a two part oneshot story. These two chapters were later republished on the Nikka Whisky website but are no longer available.

The full title of this series is The Explosively Super-Athletic Soccer Player, Takeda the Libero, Who Soars Around the World in 2002 (超機動暴発蹴球野郎　リベロの武田　２００２年世界飛翔).

Story:
After the events of the original series, Takeda is training in Africa when is scouted by the coach for the Japanese national team. However he is not recruited for the position of Libero! Can he use his superhuman abilities to help win against the strongest countries in the world!?

This was a planned limited series to time with the 2002 World Cup.

Chapter 1 was 24 pages.
Chapter 2 was 26 pages.

A oneshot by the same name also ran in Media Factory’s Comic Alpha magazine in 1999.
